Reverting a post to an earlier status

Every status past Draft has a way back. If you sent a post to your client by mistake, approved something you shouldn't have, or want to reopen a live post to fix a typo, you can walk any post backwards.

Where to find the revert action

Two places, either works:

1. On the calendar: hover over a post card. Its context menu opens with the actions available for that post's current status. Click the revert option in there.
2. In the post itself: open the post from anywhere by clicking on it. The same actions live in the post's footer bar as buttons.

What reverting means at each status

• Review needed → Cancel review takes it back to Draft. Your client stops seeing it in their portal the moment you cancel.
• Revision needed → Back to draft takes it back to Draft without sending it to your client again.
• Approved → Back to draft unapproves the post and drops it back to Draft.
• Scheduled → Move to backlog takes it back to Approved (not Draft). The post keeps its approval but loses its schedule date.
• Published → Back to draft flips the status but doesn't do anything on the actual social platform. If you want to undo the live post, you delete it from the platform yourself.

Reverting is instant. There's no confirmation dialog, and you can move the post forward again any time.
